The Headland Hotel: Brand Film
Our core mission with this project was to deliver a visually dynamic and emotionally resonant piece that honoured The Headland's heritage but positioned them as a vibrant, contemporary destination.
As the producer, I was hands-on, managing the entire film lifecycle from start to finish. My goal was to ensure the creative vision was realised efficiently, on time, and on budget, letting the creative team focus on doing their best work.
I helped develop and pitch the filma concept. I then developed the final shooting script and created a detailed, time-efficient shot list and call sheet . These documents took care of complex location logistics, crew coordination, and talent scheduling to ensure a safe and seamless production environment for everyone.
Across the shoot days, I was the primary point of contact for the client, managing the crew, overseeing all aspects of the shoot, and keeping us aligned with the schedule. I also got stuck in assisting the shooter with the setting up of lighting and other kit fixtures that were essential for the successful capture of footage.
Once filming wrapped, I handled the final stages, ensuring the edit truly reflected the vision and met the hotel's sophisticated brand standards. I fully managed the post-production workflow, including asset organisation, file management, and juggling all the delivery schedules.
I collaborated closely with the editor, providing consistent, insightful feedback and actively shaping the final edit to refine the pacing, emotional arc, and overall visual feel. This project was a fantastic demonstration of handling full-cycle video production—blending sharp logistical planning with a keen eye for creative direction.
